Your latest stitching of course!
For me that was continuing on with 'Woof' from my Gardener's Journal.
I used this recipe that I came across a while ago through a friend. They turn out so yummy every time!
As for the root canal treatment, it all went as well as it could and wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought it might be.
Have a creative kind of weekend :)

The next step was to trim my pinwheel blocks I put together from the last FNSI.
Here's one all trimmed up ready for the next part of the block.
Also did a little stitching on my Gardener's Journal. Love the dog....cute :)
Thank you to Wendy from Sugarlane Quilts for hosting FNSI.

The completed stitcheries are really adding up now! Can't wait to get a start on putting some blocks together. I am trying to finish some other projects as well so I should be good and finish those first....lol
Also just signed up for FNSI with Wendy at Sugarlane Quilts. Join us on Friday :)

Master 11, who I last wrote about here, was also off on a three day excursion from Monday so part of the weekend was spent preparing him for that too.....I missed him very much. All back safe and sound now with lots of stories :)
So, Tuesday night was the night! I finally sat down to finish off my Nan's birthday gift. Very satisfying to have some time at the machine and finish this little gift.
I posted them by express on Wednesday and just this morning received a call from my Nan saying they had arrived. She was very pleased.
My love of sewing and quilting has been passed to me by my Nan. She is such a treasure to talk to.
After some surgery a few weeks ago to remove some blood from under her skull, she has recovered very well.....and I am glad she is still here.

Just a little pic of what I'm up to today....
In my usual style I haven't given myself enough time to finish this gift.
On the weekend I decided to have a go at making these lovely hot pads for my grandmother's birthday this coming Friday. The only thing missing from my stash was some insul bright wadding. A quick phone call to a fabric store to track some down.....only 1 metre left in stock.......great!! I'll take it!
After picking up the insul bright on Monday.....and getting home late and utterly exhausted.....I chose some fabrics on Tuesday. All pressed now and cut into strips. Will have some fun with these today!

All sewn up Friday.....but only pressed them this morning.
I had to turn in early on Friday for a family day out with an early start on Saturday.
These are a couple of my favourite blocks.
Happy stitching :)

After a little inspiration from FNSI coming up tonight I started putting together some pinwheel blocks last night.
I finished five pinwheels and it was surprising how quick they were to get together. It was hard to stop there. Very addictive :)
Just love the French General range. This one is Rouenneries Deux, together with some yardage 'Violet Wishes'.
So hopefully some more pinwheel action happening here tonight for FNSI. Come and join us here.

I'm totally and utterly appalled!
Was my last post really in May!
Yes Minister says it really well (hope the link works for you - couldn't find it in the video list today)
Believe it or not there have been some projects on the go since then.....slow as they may be....
So many photos below to fill in the last couple of months.
Definitely doesn't come from my side of the family. But I love seeing how much he enjoys it.
This LOVELY book came into my possession after a lucky dip at our fantastic quilting day with Pauline from Quilters World. It was so great to pick up many quilting tips from her and see her use all the great gadgets she brings along. Peg did such a wonderful job in organising the day.
This gorgeous quilt with stitcheries.
Something oh so pretty to keep your sewing supplies in.
I haven't started any projects from the book yet (oh why not! I'm sure I don't have enough already, lol!!)...
so I often pick it up and am very inspired. Will have to make some lovely quilting gifts soon.
Note to self....must not leave my next post for so long :)
